The Good Teacher and Mentor

OU basketball coach Jeff Capel, according to President David Boren, is worth more than a million bucks a year plus benefits. According to The Sports Network, Boren said, "[Capel] is an outstanding teacher and mentor of our student athletes."

I guess Boren is referring to all 10 or 12 male basketball players on OU's payroll that are actually under Capel's command.

I have seen more than one blog post of late touting Oklahoma as the national capitol of home schooling. So, according to educator legend Boren, any parent that is acting as a good "teacher and mentor" for his or her own children is entitled to a million bucks a year plus benefits out of the tax pool. I mean if that's the deal for one guy, that's the deal for everybody, right?
