Big Footballs

It's been a great year for college football in Oklahoma. OSU, TU and OU---though each have taken a disappointment---are rockin' and rollin'. But tonight, a pro game takes center stage. The Redskins play the Steelers. And history says the outcome of the presidential election might rest on the outcome of the game.

According to Snopes, it goes all the way back to 1934---even before the Skins became the Skins. In every presidential election year since that time, when the Washington Redskins have won their last home game before the election the party that held the White House retained it. There has been one lone exception. That came in 2004, when the Skins lost but George Bush won anyway.

So, if you are an Obama voter, pull for Pittsburgh. If you are a McCain supporter, pull for Washington.

Eat a brat, drink a beer and cast a vote? Brilliant!
