Kim, You Ignorant Slut

I was doing some casual TV watching this morning and saw a report on KJRH that said Oklahoma Insurance Commissioner Kim Holland wants to deny people their driving privileges if they don't have health insurance. She says too many Oklahomans don't have health insurance, and taking away driving privileges would create an incentive for them to get it.

Get a clue, Kimmie. So many Oklahomans aren't covered with health insurance because they can't afford it. Taking their driver's licenses away won't change that.

In a world rife with ignorant proposals from politicians, this one takes the cake.

My daughter is a widowed mother of 2. She is taking classes so she will be able to get a job that will pay her enough to be able to pay for health coverage. Until that day, she simply does not have the money. Taking away her driver's license would not make her suddenly able to pay for insurance, but would leave her unable to continue school, and thereby unable to get a job that offers health insurance, and would condemn her to forever remain in that situation.
