Absurd

I will join the millions---or billions---of others in denouncing Obama’s Nobel Peace Prize. I was left slack-jawed by the news. What a ridiculous thing.

Though Obama made much noise about withdrawing from Iraq during his campaign, over 140,000 American troops still have boots on the ground in that country. The withdrawal date has been pushed back to 2012. Just this week, local news reports told of an Oklahoma National Guard unit shipping out for a 9-month stint in Iraq.

American forces are engaged in a hot war in Afghanistan. The president is currently considering stepping up that war effort. And he has authorized numerous missile strikes in Pakistan.

Obama is commander-in-chief of the world's most potent military which is engaged in actions all over the globe.

These are the credentials that make one deserving of a Nobel Peace Prize? Gimme a break.
